After reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, we took an overnight trip to Hannibal, MO. The book came alive for students as they explored the Mark Twain Cave, toured Mark Twain's hometown of Hannibal, and enjoyed the Mississippi River. Students wrote about their experiences, submitted photos from the trip, and sketched images from the trip and the novel.
